What things cost, without the fine print
Every psychologist here has completed at least five years of university training. Fees differ by whether you see a provisional or registered psychologist — here’s exactly what that means, and what you’ll actually pay.

Who You’ll See
Provisional vs Registered Psychologist
Provisional Psychologist
Completing their final year of supervised practice. Every report is reviewed and signed off by their individual supervisor before it’s issued, and carries the same standing for schools, workplaces and NDIS applications as a registered psychologist’s report.
Registered Psychologist
Fully qualified and working independently, without a supervision requirement on the report itself.
Session Fees
| Service | Provisional | Registered |
| Therapy per 50-minute session | $190 | $270 $168.45 out of pocket with a valid Mental Health Care Plan |
| Assessment per 60-minute session | $210 | $290 $188.45 out of pocket with a valid Medicare referral |
Assessment fees above are per session — see each assessment’s own page for how many sessions are typically involved and total cost.
Clinical Supervision
1:1 supervision with Joanna, for psychologists and provisional psychologists.
$230 per session

Funding Options

Medicare – Therapy
Under Better Access, a Mental Health Treatment Plan from a GP, psychiatrist or paediatrician gives you a rebate of $101.55 per session, up to a maximum of 10 sessions per calendar year (in blocks of up to 6+4 sessions per referral).
- Rebates apply only to sessions with a registered psychologist
- Only available with a valid referral in place before your session
- Allows for up to two parent/carer-only sessions per calendar year

Medicare – Autism Assessments (under 25)
A referral under the Complex Neurodevelopmental Disorders item, completed by a paediatrician or psychiatrist, unlocks:
- Up to 8 assessment sessions, usable across allied health providers (psychologist, speech pathologist, OT), rebated at $101.55/session
- Up to 20 treatment sessions with a psychologist, also rebated at $101.55/session.
Note a separate referral is required for assessment and therapy sessions.
Rebates only apply to sessions where the person named on the referral is actually present — not parent-only sessions or report-writing time.

NDIS
We’re not a registered NDIS provider, and can only see self-managed NDIS participants. We’re not able to accept plan-managed or NDIA-managed clients at this stage.

Private Health
Some extras policies offer a rebate – speak to your health provider to confirm. Please note that provisional psychologists are not eligible to receive a rebate under some health insurers.
